Launch your auction
Anyone can launch an auction on Memorabid: a collector, a private seller as well as a professional seller, a company or a charity organization.
Our team of experts will guide the partner towards the most suitable collaboration background based on his type, requirements, and prerogatives.
Memorabid is not limited to offering a constantly renewed selection of the best memorabilia that is promoted and guaranteed by the platform (the "Memorabid Auctions secition");
the promoter can also use the Marketplace Auctions section to autonomously upload his own auction, via pc or mobile device, using Memorabid’s innovative technology and know-how as well as taking advantage of the guaranteed visibility that this dedicated platform offers, bringing together sports collectors from across the globe.
Service cost:
There are no fixed costs because the service fee is calculated as a percentage of the winning bid at auction closing, it is charched on the seller, never on the buyer:
1- 15% of amount of winning bid
This is the commission applied for an all-inclusive service.
The supplier submits his lots to Memorabid, who will be responsible for every step of the process: description, customer care, logistics and professional photo shoot.
Memorabid has the discretion to list certain items in the “Gold Auctions” section.
2- 10% of amount of winning bid
This is the commission applied to items listed in the Marketplace section, which are uploaded as auctions via PC or mobile device autonomously by the supplier.
The supplier will be responsible for every step of the process, from photographing the item, to replying to messages from interested users and punctual shipping to the Memorabid offices if the lot is sold.
In both cases Memorabid will add 3% to the commission to cover processing fees in the case of digital payment (buyers are able with PayPal too), and VAT pursuant to law.
The seller will receive the payment, minus the above costs, starting 14 days from receipt of the item by the auction winner.
Every partner will have a dashboard that they can use autonomously to view their auctions, payments and all other information concerning their "partner profile", complete with data export functions.
Charity Auctions
In case of charity auctions, Memorabid's ethical choice is to raise the entire amount to the charity organization.
Memorabid is guaranteeing to any user or participant that only the service fee will be deducted from the amount raised, with no exceptions considering only the case Memorabid renounce to this too, thus raising the entire proceeds to the charity organization, concerning of a corporate social responsibility (CSR) operation that aims to make Memorabid not only a fundraising vehicle for charity organizations but also an active supporter of charitable projects.
Memorabid is, therefore, not just a charity auction house but ALSO a charity auction house, managing this aspect with the total transparency: there are no partial percentage raised for the charity organization. If an auction is shown as a charity one, identified by the wording "Charity Auction supporting...," the user can be certain that at least the 85% of the proceeds are raised for the charity organization.
NO Service Fee:
On Memorabid, there is no buyer’s premium or any other service fee charged to the customer: the winning bid amount is exactly what the winner will pay, plus only shipping costs and mandatory insurance.
Competing platforms typically charge a 20% commission to the seller, plus a 15% service fee, resulting in a total commission that exceeds 35%.
Even when this fee is presented as being “paid by the customer,” it’s still money that comes out of the promoter’s sale.
If the customer pays less, the promoter receives less, and the difference goes to the platform—not the promoter.
In practical terms, it’s as if the commission were being paid by the promoter.
Moreover, the service fee itself can jeopardize the entire transaction.
When a customer finds out only at checkout that they must pay an additional amount (the service fee), they may feel frustrated and choose not to complete the purchase, causing the entire sale to collapse.
This wastes time for both the promoter and the customer and can jeopardize the whole transaction.
On Memorabid, this almost never happens—as you know.
Customers are aware of the final price right from the start, so they are not surprised at checkout.
This minimizes the risk of second thoughts and ensures successful transactions.
The model used by competing platforms, even when it seems more affordable at first glance, actually includes hidden costs that penalize the final value of the auction.
Even when the fee is technically charged to the customer, it’s always the auction promoter who ends up paying for it.
